Kalorama

Kalorama is a small area located within Washington, D.C.’s Northwest quadrant, surrounded by areas such as Rock Creek Park, Columbia Road, Connecticut Avenue, and Calvert Street. The area is home to two residential neighborhoods: Kalorama Triangle and Sheridan-Kalorama.

During its early days, Kalorama was mostly a rural area situated on the outskirts of D.C. The area started to flourish during the late 1800s, when the D.C. area sought to expand its boundaries, turning Kalorama into the charming residential area it is today.

Kalorama is easily accessible from the Metrorail, with two stops in the area along the Red Line, Dupont Circle and Woodley Park. The area is also conveniently located close to nearby communities such as Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, and U Street.

Foodies have s superb selection of great dining options to choose from in Kalorama. Some of the must-try restaurants in the area include Napolean Bistro, Mintwood Place, Perry’s, and Cashion’s Eat Place.
